Quinta do Paço d'Anha

This 50 ha. farm is located in the highlands of Anha parish 3 km from the southern part of Viana do Castelo. Since 1500, it belongs to the family Agorreta.

The manor house is a fine example of Portuguese architecture from the 16th century, with many fine antiques and heirlooms. The name "Paço" was given after King D. António Prior de Crato was hiding here from Spanish soldiers in 1580.

Vine and wine growing are the main activities. The farm produces Vinho Verde ("green" wine), and the Manor possesses its own wine trade label (Paço d'Anha Vinho Verde) which is bottled and shipped from its cellars, and which you will have the chance to taste.

There are also cows that give milk for breakfast, and two horses that you can ride if you are an experienced horse back rider.

Allthough there is no swimming pool, there are plenty of things to do on a farm. Children will have a good time with the animals, and adults will enjoy the wine tasting.

Apartments

The 4 apartments are a result of modern remodeling of old farm buildings surrounding the Manor House.
